The Abarkuh Sarv (سرو ابرکوه)
$325.00

This piece is inspired by one of the oldest living trees in the world, the ancient cypress of Abarkuh, in the UNESCO world heritage listed city of Yazd, Iran.

Standing for thousands of years, this remarkable tree has witnessed generations come and go, becoming a symbol of resilience, endurance and life.

Through delicate stitches and colourful threads, I wanted to celebrate this living piece of Persian heritage, a tree that has stood the test of time.

The Yalda Pomegranate (انار یلدا)
$275.00

Inspired by Yalda, an ancient Persian celebration of the longest night of the year, when families gather to share stories, poetry and welcome the return of light.

The pomegranate, with its ruby-red seeds, is one of the most cherished symbols of
Yalda, representing life, abundance and renewal.

For this piece, I combined delicate embroidery with shimmering beads to recreate the jewel-like seeds of this beautiful fruit, carrying a little piece of this ancient tradition into every stitch.

The Simurgh (سیمرغ)
$325.00

Persian Garden is a collection of embroidered brooches inspired by the symbolic landscape of Iranian gardens. The Sarv (سرو) speaks of endurance, the Simurgh (سیمرغ) of wisdom and transformation, the pomegranate (انار) of renewal.

Simurgh is a mythical bird whose name literally means 'thirty birds' in Farsi language. In the twelfth century, the Sufi poet, Attar of Nishapur tells of a gathering of birds, searching for their sovereign. Guided by the hoopoe, they crossed seven valleys of Quest, Love, Knowledge, Detachment, Unity, Wonderment, and Defeat.

At the journey's end, only thirty birds remained. They discovered that Simurgh was no magical bird waiting to be found. The sovereign they had sought was within them all along.
