The Sarv (سرو), or Cypress, stands eternal in Persian stories. It's a tree of strength, endurance and humility. In my work, the Sarv appears in many forms: the timeless guardian of Iran, over 4,000 years old, the bowed and modest cypress, and even the autumn cypress, dressed in golden hues that nature itself has never known.
